Here you go: page three.
If you’re in Chicago this weekend, we’ll be at the Renegade Craft Fair, selling some of Sara’s paper and fabric screenprinted work. Things like greeting cards, recipe/note cards, and fabric swatches. You can see a few things in our Etsy shop.
We’re toying with the idea of going weekly, maybe in the new year…

Here’s the final part in our first mini-arc. It’s a little brief- we had to slap it together before going to Georgia for the holidays.
Hello one week ahead of time! Also, happy New Year. The comic above marks the beginning of our attempt to post a new page each week, and our descent into madness.
In the future, it will serve as a filler page. If you see this scene again, it means we are shamefully lagging behind our deadline. Thanks to Rob for the idea for this page. A bad-weather comic should have us covered year-round.
Enjoy, and we hope to start our next epic story line next week.
Here we go: our third week of weekly posts. So far, it feels pretty good.
We’re slowly tweaking the site, as well. Do you like the wider page size? We went back and blew up the last few pages to the new size. Ahh, shiny.

The towel hanging from the oven is based on some screenprinted fabric that Sara made. You can see it and a few other things in her Etsy shop.
You may think that this story illustrates the origin of the name WeirdBaby, but you would be mistaken. In fact, the title we chose for the comic goes back to a conversation Sara and I had a couple of years ago. The meat of that discussion has dissolved into the superheated skillet of time, like a particularly fatty piece of bacon, with only a smokey aroma and the phrase “weird baby” remaining.
I was going to continue that metaphor through roux and beyond, but the comic is still young.
In other news, we continue to add cool links over to the right there. Also, Sara just posted some cool pincushions to her Etsy page, and I’m finally getting my film and video work onto the worldwide web.
Here’s the end of our dream mini-storyline. Get ready for wild new developments soon: breakfast will end! New characters will insinuate themselves into the comic! Tell your friends!
It’s been a crazy week. Sara went out of town on Saturday and I have a cold, but we got our page up on time. phew.
